William Shakespeare once wrote, “All the world is a stage.” So, it’s not a stretch to say that the theatrical arts are all around. From intimate venues to large performance halls, many places in the Sierra offer the chance to see a show. As a reformed actress (the highlight of my theatrical career included a performance as Orphan No. 76 during my high school’s production of the musical, Annie), I’m always keen to see a show or film. Most places provide expert instructors, or you can make it a mission to learn on your own and just rent the needed equipment. Some are weather reliant and only available in late spring, so confirm they’re available before trekking out.
